Navy, Marsala and Gold Wedding | Irving, Texas

Celebrations

This past January, I was honored to style and execute Lane and Mo‘s beautiful navy, marsala and gold wedding at La Cima Club in Irving, Texas. Lane, her mama and I spent months planning their wedding day and it was one of my favorite to date. The day might have started out with some winter rain, but that only made for an even more intimate event in the clouds (literally) and a gathering of loved ones that made the night so memorable.

This wedding, like all of our weddings, was such a beautiful testament to marriage and family. I was so struck the entire day, but the closeness and relationships that these two had with each and every person in attendance. There was not a single person they didn’t say hi to, hug and express gratitude for. The strong bonds they have with their families was also evident in every moment of interaction and affectionate side glance. It warmed my heart so much. Meeting all of them and seeing the absolutely abundant love they all share was an honor.

I wasn’t present for this moment, but I love that they wrote letters to each other and didn’t see each other before the ceremony. I am partial to a first look, but their timeline allowed for them not to have one and it was so sweet to see these images. Not to mention, Mo’s reaction as Lane walked down the aisle was priceless (look below)!!

From a design standpoint, we kept things simple and romantic, while still very inviting. My dear friend Lauren, of Abelia Floral, did the floral design and knocked it out of the park. The blooms were stunning across the board and both warmed and brightened the spaces, making guests feel invited immediately. Not to mention, it smelled so good!

The staff at La Cima Club was top notch and did not miss a beat. The food was also divine, complete with a mashed potato bar, which is always a favorite!

Now that is a smile of a smitten man in love! Swoon! Also, the prayer with all of their parents was such a sweet touch!

Now, it might just  be me, but doesn’t the best man look stoked for these two? Almost as excited as the new Mr. & Mrs. Wiggins!

Aside from my usual favorite moments like first looks and their first moments as Mr. & Mrs, Lane’s surprise serenade to Mo at the reception was hands down the best thing ever! I don’t think I have ever fought back tears at a wedding the way I did in those 3 minutes. Lane has a beautiful voice and she surprised everyone, especially Mo, when she and the band did a special performance of “Next To Me”. The whole room was clapping along and Mo’s face was absolutely priceless.

After a full evening of love, great company and dancing, Lane and Mo made a romantic exit on a gondola. It was a beautiful way to see them off and no doubt, a highlight for them to soak in all of the night’s memories on their way to the hotel along the canal.

I know I say this every wedding, but I truly adore these two and am beyond grateful to have been given the opportunity to serve them and be part of their beginning. Cheers to many years of love, puppy snuggles and serenades, you two!

xoxo, Jenn
