I know it’s been quiet around here the past few months and I never post on Sundays, but today is special! We have  been busy getting ready for our move into a new house, celebrating Easter with family and working on some fun HHE projects and weddings. So why is today so special? Well friends, I have been writing this post in my head for years now and I can’t believe it’s finally going to go live.

It has not been an easy road and certainly not the path we foresaw when deciding to grow our family, but God is faithful and knows exactly what He is doing. I’ll share more about our journey in the next few weeks, but today, I’ll keep this short and sweet.

Adam and I are overjoyed to share that we are expecting our first little Pocho this coming October!!!! We shared with our family last weekend on Easter and now we get to share with you, from the couch in our new home!

We had this custom announcement painting done by the ever talented and unendingly sweet Bridgett Lynette Designs. I adore it so much and the details she put in for us are so meaningful. We also have a larger print for the nursery!

To answer the most common questions we’ve  been getting — there is only one (twins run in the family), we are not going to find out the gender and we do have names chosen. 🙂

To all of you still on your journey to parenthood, you are in our prayers. I know the way it feels to see announcement after announcement and not have yours peppered in. I see you, I know how you feel and I want you to know that you are not alone!

More photos and stories of our journey will be forthcoming in the coming months as we settle in, take in the fact that this is our reality (!!) and welcome our sweet babe this fall. Now, we are off to pick up a few things for the house and start settling in while I have a little bit of energy.
